What engines are available?
There are four different engine options available for the Ram 1500 beginning with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that gives 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. This comes mated with Ram’s eTorque system, a sort of hybrid system that offers better fuel economy and allows for smoother stop-start. Next up is a 5.7-liter V8 engine with 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, available to pair with the eTorque is you want. Third, we have a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that gives 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque and is diesel-powered. Finally, there is a 6.2-liter V8 engine that boasts an incredible 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque and is exclusively available on the highest Trim TRX.
What are the safety options available Ram 1500?
The advanced safety suite for the Ram 1500 comes with Lane-keeping assist which keeps the truck from drifting out of its lane. It also comes with Adaptive Cruise Control that lets the driver maintain a set distance from the vehicle in front of it. The surround-view camera system gives the driver a birds-eye view of the Ram 1500 making it easier to navigate tight parking spots.
What about the tailgate?
Great question! The tailgate on the Ram 1500 is engineered to be used in many different ways. It has 60/40 split swing-away doors that open 88° or can swing down like a traditional tailgate. The swing doors make it easy for you to get at your cargo, and don’t get in the way of any trailer you may be hauling.
