Ready to Tackle Rugged Terrain
The Gladiator Mojave trim level was designed to tackle the most rugged desert terrain, another terrain that Jeep’s legendary 4×4 capability is ready to tackle. Thanks to the Jeep’s world-renowned 4×4 system and significant suspension upgrades as well as extensive testing across rough desert and sand terrain, the Mojave is ready for it all! This model also comes equipped with industry-exclusive FOX front hydraulic jounce jumpers, specially-tuned FOX 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks with external reservoirs, a one-inch front suspension lift with a silver front skid plate, a reinforced frame, 33-inch Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires, and stronger axles with cast-iron steering knuckles. All of these standard features make the Gladiator Mojave Jeep’s very first Desert Rated model!
The Mojave’s 4×4 System
The Mojave is so incredibly capable thanks to the Gladiator’s trusty Command-Trac 4×4 system. Outfitted with a two-speed transfer case, heavy-duty 3rd-generation Dana 44 front and rear axles, and a standard electronic-locking rear differential, this system is capable of tackling the terrain the Mojave was created for. With a 25.5-degree departure angle, a 20.9-degree breakover angle, and a 44.7-degree approach angle as well as a best-in-class 11.6-inch ground clearance, the Mojave is perfect for tackling sand dunes.
The Powertrain
Under the hood of the Gladiator Mojave trim level, Jeep has placed their trusty and beloved 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. Pumping out 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, this engine features engine start/stop technology to enhance fuel economy. This engine has been built to deliver a broad torque band with a heavy-emphasis on low-end torque which is vital during times of extreme off-roading. The standard transmission match for this engine is a six-speed manual but drivers can opt for an available eight-speed automatic if they so choose.
Jeep Desert Rated
The all-new Desert Rated badge is the very first of its kind for the Jeep brand! An extension of the Trail Rated badge, the Desert Rated badge shows that the model it is emblazoned on is ready to take on the grueling desert and sand with high-speed, off-roading capability. Each and every Desert Rated 4×4 Jeep model has been put to the test in five strenuous categories: Desert Prowess, Maneuverability, Ground Clearance, Traction, and Ride Control and Stability. The Mojave model can withstand coarse sand, intense heat, and loose gravel thanks to Desert Prowess, it is nimble and responsive with exceptional maneuverability, delivers a maximized ground clearance to crest dunes and blast through terrain, and so much more!
